DASAVATHARAM STORY OVERVIEW

The story starts with an incident taking place in 12th century when Hindus were divided into Saivites and Vaishnavites. Rangarajan Nambi (Kamal.1) is a loyal disciple of Ramanuja Azhwar. King Kulothunga (Napolean - what a fantastic performance!), a follower of Lord Siva, compels Nambi to worship Lord Siva instead of Lord Vishnu but Nambi refuses.The king then orders to throw the statue of Lord vishnu along with Nambi into the sea.

After this first avatar, the movie shifts to the present world America. Govind (Kamal.2)scientist invents a dangerous bio weapon in his lab but wants to destroy the it after realizing its dangerous,but the US Govt and scientists don’t allow him to do that. One fine day, Govind runs away from the lab with the bio weapon but Fletcher (Kamal.3), a former CIA officer turned villian, chases him to get the weapon back to destroy other countries.

The weapon by mistake sent to an Indian address by courier where a 95 year old lady (Kamal.4) receives the parcel. Govind immediately rushes to India and traces down the address followed by Fletcher accompanied by his prostitute cum translator (Mallika Sherawat). The old lady refuses to give the weapon to them without understanding the danger it could cause and puts it inside a statue of Lord Vishnu.

The scientist captures the statue and starts running with it pulling Asin close relative of the old lady, along with.A foolish police officer Balram Naidu (Kamal.5) too is in the race always chasing both these characters.

In between a Punjabi singer (Kamal.5), US President George Bush (Kamal.6), a tall Muslim (Kamal.7), a martial arts trainer (Kamal.8) and a Southern district resident Annachi (Kamal.9) comes.

Finally the tsunami comes to the rescue of the Scientist and destroys the weapon along with drowning Fletcher . The statue of Lord Rangaraja which was immersed in the sea in 12th century also appears on the shore after the tsunami.

ANIL AMBANI TO FUND HOLLYWOOD BIGGIES

Reliance Big Entertainment, the media and entertainment company of Reliance ADA Group, on Sunday announced a slew of deals with production firms of Hollywood stars including Tom Hanks, Brad Pitt and Jim Carrey, marking its entry into the Mecca of films.The Hollywood entities involved in the development deals, brokered by Los Angeles-based Creative Artists Agency (CAA), are Cage`s Saturn Productions, Carrey`s JC 23 Entertainment, Clooney`s Smokehouse Productions, Columbus` 1492 Pictures, Hanks` Playtone Productions, Pitt`s B Entertainment and Roach`s Everyman Pictures.Terming this as the beginning of the company`s engagement with international film productions, Khanna said, "these deals alone have the potential of creating a slate of films worth USD 1 billion."Khanna said, the Hollywood partners would be a dedicated amount to develop films that they want to work in and then the films would go into production depending upon how the scripts shape up.

MEGA AUDIO LAUNCH FOR DASAVATHARAM

It was a meeting of Hollywood, Bollywood and Kollywood. Jackie Chan, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan electrified Chennai for a few hours at the audio launch.
Malayalam super star Mamooty , Ilayathalapathi Vijay, Hema malini, actress Asin , Malika sherawat were also present at the dias.
Of all the felicitations offered for Jackie, the one that had the most details was by Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi, who launched the audio CD of the film.

Actress Megan Fox was named the most sexiest women in the world by a survey in an annual online poll conducted by FHMonline.com. She topped the list of 100 sexiest women , while the most searched women in the world Britney spears reached No.100 spot the shock of the year.
Fox who starred in the super hit 'Transformers' grabbed the title from Jesicca Alba who topped the list in another survey and here she got the 3rd place behind Fox and Jessica Biel former model. Canadian Actress Elisha Cuthbert ranked fourth and US Actress Scralett Johnson rounded of the top five.

ITS IPL Vs BOX OFFICE

The news is that IPL tournament has made the Chennai Box Office (CBO) dull. Collections over the Apr 18 - 20 week end that coincided with the launch of IPL took the beating. The multiplexes were marginaly affected, sathyam cinemas vice president says that the collections marginaly affected by 5 to 10 % in the wee ends and 15 to 20 % in the week days. Other theater owners also claiming that their collections down because of the IPL fever.
There is also a thought in the industry that the newness of IPL is creating craze for it and once it became boring they wear out.



Most of the Big films are planned for summer release like Kamal.s Dasavatharam, Vijay's Kuruvi, where vijay itself being the brand ambassador for Chennai Super Kings(CSK).
Most of the stars are going on a vacation abroad in may to get away from the IPL mania, they were also upset ovet vijay and nayanthara riding on IPL thunder.Vijay however says that IPL wont affect box office and a well made film will definitely do well at the box office.

The famous tamil actress Shreya has been molested by a fan in Tirupathi.Shreya was on a private visit to Tirupathi temple.Sources said that a lunatic fan standing behind Shreya allegedly molested her.

ROBOT - SUPERSTAR RAJINI KANTH

ROBOT the mega budget film in the Indian industry is being produced by Iyangaran International and eros internationals. The much awaited pooja for the film ROBOT will hopefully be on april 14th. The photo shoot for the film is already over. Though there is a film called kuselan in between , the time super star given for that film is just 25 days. The star cast will be announced on that day. The most surprising thing is that late sujatha wrote the complete script fot the film , who's supposed to write the script , the film will be surely a dedication to the Legendary sujatha. Expectations are high for the high budget film , which has many attraction like super star Rajini , Shankar , AR Rahman.

TAARE ZAMEEN PAR IN TAMIL

Amir khan's directorial debut Taare zameen par created waves in bollywood , which is also commercially approved a box office hit though it seems like a off beat film. Now its said that Aamir is interested in making the film in Tamil also , he strongly believes that the script is so good that it can be appealing to audiance irrespective of the language , and kollywood being next to bollywood in india he wanted to do it in tamil. Aamir is interested in joining hands with the veteran director Cheran to direct the movie in tamil. A confidential meeting was held between cheran and aamir khan in Mumbai. Aamir decided to produce the film and the hero of the film will be either Surya or Vikram. Now the big question is who will act in the roll of Darsheel Safary, the small boy who acted marvelously in the original version.

MIXED REACTIONS FOR JODHAA AKBAR

The first reports of the epic movie jodhaa akbar are very mixed. some people feels that the film awesome and the way it has been shot is lavishing
and its a milestone in indian cinema, but some feels that the movie is too long and lengthy 
which is actually 3 and half hours long.

Coming days will determine the fate of the film, whether its a box office hit.It’s bound to take a good initial because of the presence of stars like Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai but how it
will sustain beyond that is a question.

Hrithik Roshan- Aishwarya Rai starrer ‘ Jodhaa Akbar’, a historical film about the Mughal
emperor Akbar and his Queen Jodha could not come true to expectations and hype created
around the film.The excessive length of the film has gone against it and a tight editing could
have done wonders for the film.

However, the performances by the lead players Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai are fabulous. Hrithik Roshan looks stunning in the sword fighting scenes where he is bare chested and the fair sex will find him very attractive. On the other hand, Aishwarya Rai has never looked so gorgeous in any film before. The chemistry between the lead players is just superb.

The fiilm has been releades with 1500 prints acrosss 25 countries initially ,
its the highest number of prints a film being released in India ,  the film producers wanted the people all over india to watch the movie when its hot,
hence they have to go for this huge amount of prints, though the raajput group of rajastan 
climed that the film spoils the history and what they say is jodhaa is no way connected to akbar ,
 they havn't allowd the movie to be screened in any of rajastan theaters. 
The film director Ashutosh Gowrikar however excliamed that they made lots of research regarding the film and what they shown in the movie is true only.
He also wrote letters to the raajput groups of rajastan to allow the film screening there.
