Support for ULTIMATE STAR from SUPER STAR

After Ajith succesfully finishing the film Billa which was released all over world .The film has made remarkable collection records in the history of Tamil cinema. To appreciate his perfomance Super star Rajini Kanth invited Ajith to share dinner with him.Ajith recieved advice from the Super star for his forthcoming films . Many upcoming stars indirectly fighting to catch that position, its a twist in the story that super star invited ajith and gave him advice to stand high in the industry. Already the super star side is angry over the dialouge's of "I'm the BOSS" in film ATM , and many other comments declaring his period is over. A punch in SHIVAJI saying "Six ku apram seven da , sivaji ku aparm evan da " however reveals that he's still the DON of tamil cinema not even tamil , Indian cinema. Now super star showing interest in growth of ultimate star, definitely there will be strong competition .

TSUNAMI -The Killer Waves

satelliete view of tsunami
Tsunami waves, which hit India for the first time on 26th December 2004 wreaking havoc across the southern coastline, are a known phenomenon in the pacific ocean region, which stretches from chile in Latin America to Japan in East Asia.

The waves are usually triggered by seismic distrubances-costal earthquakes, volcanic eruptions or undersea landslides-that jolt the ocean floor. Tremors under the sea displace ground surface, sending the water rapidly outward in concentric circles from epicenter. The result is a deep wave, stretching from the sea's surface to the floor that travels horiantally at speeds up to 500 miles per hour and reaches heights of 50 to 100 feet.

The waves travel faster in deep water, rising further as they approach shore. In open sea, tsunamis are only about a meter high, but when they reach a shoreline they can be taller as a home and weigh millions of tonnes.Though the bottom of the wave is slowed down by the sharp elevation of the ocean floor near the coast, its top part keeps moving at the original speed. As a result, vast quality of water piles up and finally crashing over the shore with the amazing force, thus causing the massive destruction.

The first sign of an approaching tsunami is the sea tide receding from the shore, which leaves the large part of the sea floor exposed. The ocean water then flows towards the shore faster than before, resulting in high waves. This phenomenon is repeated several times before tsunami itself hits the land.

The tsunamis can travel long distance without losing the original power.Neither islands nor reefs diminish their speed or power. Usually the waves do not dissipiate until they strike a continental landmass, and some waves travel back and forth across the ocean for a week.

Japan is one of the two Asian countries - the other being Indonesia - to be frequently hit by Tsunami waves. In fact the word tsunami is derived from the japanese language to describe very long, low seismic sea waves.

Fortunately, the tsunamis of a serious nature are known to occur only once in a decade in the region. But when they occur, they leave a trail of destruction, causing heavy damage to the life and property. One of the most destructive tsunami was in July 1998 that struck Papua New Guinea's north coast an the one generated off the coast of Chile in 1960 caused havoc over large distances. Hundreds of people die when a huge wave travelling at a speed of 750 km per hour smashed japan in 1960, following a series of quakes in Chile on the other side of the Pacific Ocean.

EUROPEAN SCIENTISTS REPORTED NEW INFECTIOUS DISEASE

Many infectious diseases heave emerged over the past decades to threaten human beings as viruses leap the species barrier from wild animals and bacteria mutate into antibiotic-resistant strains, scientists reported on Wednesday.

Presenting a map of “hotspots” of new infectious diseases, they predicted that the next pandemic is likeliest to come out of poor tropical countries, where burgeoning human populations come into contact with wildlife.

A three year investigation led by four major institutions tracked 335 incidents since 1940 when a new infectious disease emerged. The category includes HIV/AIDS, which has slain or infected more than 65 million people around the world, and outbreaks of severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) and H5N1 bird flu, which have cost tens of billions of dollars to contain.

The emergence of new diseases have quadrupled roughly over the past 50 years, says the study, appearing in the British journal Nature.

Sixty percent of them are so-called zoonoses, or diseases that are transmitted from animals to humans. Most zoonoses come from wild animals, especially mammals, which constitute species mostly related to humans.

Novel pathogens that adapt to humans can be very lethal, as humans have no resistance to them.

Areas that present the biggest potential source for a new zoonose are the whole of a East Asia region, the Indian sub-continent, the Niger delta the Great Lakes region in Africa.

UNTOUCHABILITY IS A SIN ?... ISN'T IT ?

Untouchability is a sin , as said by mahatma Gandhiji. But today our Country is not behaving so, we pretending good but
we are really not. The acts against the dalit peoples in INDIA shows that though we are
developing as a economy power very fastly and literacy rate too increasing in a good manner,
reveals that we are still in that period only where some people were considered untouchables.
Some of the statistics of the atrocities done to dalits were as follows,
27 atrocities have been done against dalits ever day
13 dalits are murdered for no reason and all every day
5 homes have been burnt every day
11 dalit peoples beaten up
The true fact is that only 5% of all details were being reported and this is only 5% which is really a shame.

Some of the incidents like
A dalit women being raped and killed in one of ours states, In a goverment hospital in INDIA a dalit pregnant women refused treatment and died
In the noon meal scheme students refused to eat food as it was cooked by dalit women
and consequently she was also fired

48% of people were denied the basic need water
33% of people were denied of a visit from health workers
37% students sit seperately in government schools
12% of childs die before age of 5

We feel that we came out of these kind of untouchabilities , but till now every where this thing
still exist. This has to be totally cleared from our country when we can proudly say that we
are the supreme power one day...

TOXIN IN BREAST MILK

Scientists have discovered the mechanism by which a chemical known as perchlorate can collect in breast milk and cause cognitive and motor deficits in newborns. Used since the 1940s to manufacture explosives and rocket fuel, the contaminant is still widely present in the water and food supply, experts say.

High concentrations of perchlorate in breast milk can be passed on to a foetus during pregnancy and affect an infant's ability to manufacture thyroid hormone, the new study suggests.

Perchlorate can lessen the amount of iodide available to a mother to pass on to her infant, and a baby needs iodide to produce thyroid hormones which are "critical" for development and maturation of the central nervous system, skeletal muscles and lungs. The debate continues on how much perchlorate is high and harmful concentration. But scientists have long enough that iodide deficiency contribute to low IQ.

My Train Journey

Usually i used to travel by train. We can see different kinds of people in train journey. For me the train sound seems like my mother's humming.Rail path will be laid in the midst of nature's beauty,so its a great pleasure to travel in the early morning.when i enter into the train i usually look for a window seat, lose yourself in the passing scenery,a griping book,or your portable music player. When the co-passengers are interrogation with a stony, uncomprehending look. And,when the train passes at stations, rediscover the simple joys of hot tea and savoury snacks.
